These heavy solid brass Master Harbor marine telescopes are perfect for your office, near a view window, or for celestial observations. Perfect for royal events or marine lovers. It is the premium quality clear-coated solid brass refactor telescope mounted on a solid mahogany tripod. This is made from thin 0.8 mm solid brass & polished with shiny brass finish. These use the highest quality 64-power precision 52-mm coated optics and are made with dent-resistant heavy 1.2 mm thick brass. The brass has a vapor deposition clear coating so the brass will not tarnish and never needs polishing. The telescope uses precision ground coated achromatic glass optics and produces a clear 64-power non-inverted image. For many years, mariners have considered 64-power to be the ideal balance between magnification and field of view. Focusing is accomplished by rotating a large adjusting ring near the eyepiece. A sunshade protects the objective lens from glare and the inside of the telescope is coated flat black to improve contrast. The telescope is 39 inches (3.25 feet) to 42 inches (3.5 feet) long, 30 inches (76.2 cm) in diameter, has a tube outside diameter of 2 inches (5.1 cm), and an objective lens diameter of 52 mm (2 inches). The telescope is mounted on one of two different heavy castings & a solid mahogany tripod. The maximum height of the telescope is 63 inches (160 cm) and it can be collapsed to a height of 30 inches (99 cm). The telescope is easily removed from the tripod, and the tripod collapses efficiently for compact storage. The telescope can be custom engraved near the eyepiece with up to two short lines of text, such as a name and a date. We offer this telescope with two different telescope mounts: The standard mount and the elegant arc-shaped mount. The telescope and the tripod are the same in both versions, only the mount between the telescope and tripod is different.
